Musicals have been a staple of the movies since the advent of "talkies" brought together sound and picture. An extension of staged musicals like on Broadway, musicals often have their own look and feel. It's as if you're sitting in the audience of a theater in London or New York. Popular musicals are a part of our popular culture.
