King Kong has made an appearance in more movies than you might expect. Most famous of all is the King Kong 1933 original edition. King Kong is saved, and the story continues from there. The most recent King Kong movie is the Peter Jackson version, released in 2005. As the director of "Lord of the Rings" movies, Jackson brought sophisticated special effects to the production. This movie brought renewed interest in the preceding films, as well as King Kong games for Xbox, PC and Nintendo DS, toys, and a extras-packed DVD release.
