In Theaters February 29, 2008
Last time we talked about the upcoming comedy movie release of “Be Kind, Rewind” which is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 22, 2008. Today I would like to talk about another upcoming comedy release, “Semi Pro” staring Will Ferrell. This film is slated to be released in theaters on February 29, 2008.
Will Ferrell is one of my favorite contemporary comedic actors. However, his films tend to be hit or miss. They are either split your side laugh fests, or total wastes of time. According to the information that is available on “Semi Pro,” this film will tell the story of a basketball player who spent most of his career as a benchwarmer in the NBA. Now he is trying to get his American Basketball Association team to big time. Of course, this journey will not be trouble free, as several obstacles and villains will try to stop him and his team.
In addition to Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Rob Corddry will also be featured in this sports comedy. This is a New Line Cinema production and will most likely fall in line with the feel and pacing of “Blades of Glory.” I haven’t seen the trailer for this film yet, but there is one available online.
Movie obsessions can take on many forms from collecting DVD to collecting promotional materials. If you have a movie obsession then you can start or add to a collection of B movie posters with college posters and door movie posters.
