Alvin, Simon and Theodore, better known as the Chipmunks have returned to the big screen after a couple of decades. Growing up in the eighties, I loved the Chipmunks from their Saturday morning cartoon series to their featured film “the Chipmunk Adventure.” I was pleasantly surprised when I recently came across the trailer for the new live action movie about the high pitched singing trio.
From what I can tell from the trailer and the promotional material for this film, it is a holiday film that explores how the Chipmunks came to live with their song writing foster father, Dave, and how they became a singing sensation. The Christmas Song is featured in this film, as are several other new and old Chipmunk songs.
This film looks very family friendly and cute. Most of the characters in this film are live action, however, the Chipmunks are CGI, just like the Garfield movies that came out a few years ago.
The movie poster for this film is adorable. It can not only work as a holiday decoration, but it will also make a cute addition to a child’s room or to a media room.
