September 26 starts a great week of new movies. Whether you are interested in a psychological thriller, a race against time thriller or a romantic drama, the theaters will have something that you will like.
Your first option is Blindness. This thrill has a running time of one hour and 58 minutes. It focuses around a strange epidemic that strikes humanity that leaves everyone but one woman blind. This Miramax Film stars Mark Ruffalo, Gael Garcia Bernal, Danny Glover, Julianne Moore and Sandra Oh. It is rated R fo sexual assault, violence, language, sex and a little nudity.
The second option that you have is Nights in Rodanthe. This is a romantic drama with a running time of one hour and 37 minutes. It pairs Richard Gere and Diane Lane as two strangers facing life crises. They meet one weekend when Lane tends her friend’s inn and Gere stays at the inn as the only guest. They make a romantic connection that seems to keep them connected throughout the rest of their lives, even though they do not stay “together.” Rated PG-13 for sensuality, this is a great date movie.
The third option that you have for next weekend is another thriller, Eagle Eye. This film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosario Dawson, Michael Chiklis, Anthony Mackie, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Azizi and Lynn Cohen. The premise of this film is that two strangers are drawn into a race against time to save their lives. They are framed for some crime and are chased by both the good guys and the bad guys.
