Centerpiece for 4th of July Weekend
Next week is the 4th of July holiday weekend. The biggest theatrical release planned is Hancock starring Will Smith. It will be released on July 2, a couple of days before the Fourth of July. This action comedy film directed by Peter Berg and written by Vince Gilligan and Vincent Ngo, focuses on the story of a not so perfect superhero. Sony Pictures will undoubtedly be the big taker during the holiday weekend, as few other films have the star power that this film offers. In addition to Will Smith, the action adventure movie posters for this film will also feature Jason Bateman, Charlize Theron and Eddie Marsen. Don’t miss this Sony Pictures blockbuster.
July 4 is a day where comedy movie posters rule. Diminished Capacity is one of the comedies that will be released. This 93 minute film follows the story of a successful newspaper editor who sustains a head injury that diminishes his mental capacity and forces him to seek out a new career in the comic book trade. He is joined in his new venture by his senile uncle and they face the challenges of this genre together. This film stars Matthew Broderick, Alan Alda, Louis C.K. and Virginia Madsen and will be released by IFC Films.
Another comedy that will be released on the 4th of July is Kabluey. This 86 minute film follows the story of a strange uncle who comes to be the nanny for his two nephews while his brother is fighting in the war in Iraq. His sister-in-law, who is struggling with her role as primary caregiver and breadwinner, accepts the help of her strange brother-in-law with some hesitation. This film stars Lisa Kudrow, Conchata Ferrell, Terri Garr and Chris Parnell.

Hancock looks like interesting spin on the latest superhero movie craze… if nothing else at least Will Smith tends to be pretty funny
