While the first half of January 2009 was full of horror flick movie releases the second half of the month is slightly more varied. The last half of January, or January 16 through the 31, offers you a wide variety of movies to see. Now playing movie posters in January 2009 will feature everything from dogs to werewolves.
The first set of movies to be released during the second part of the month will be released on January 16, 2009. On this date Hotel for Dogs, Mall Cop, Ninja Assassin, I Love You, Man, My Bloody Valentine and Notorious are all on the slate to be released. This means that you will have one or two family films, a couple of funny films and a scary film to choose between.
On January 20 the Prequel to Vacancy will be released. On January 23 Last Chance Harvey, starring Emma Thomspon and Dustin Hoffman, Taken, Possession and Underworld 3 will all be released. Finally, on January 30 the Uninvited will be released. Again these film releases have various themes from romance to science fiction fantasy.
