2009 is a great year for new movie releases. One of the themes that this year’s movies seem to have is the origins of the story. Many movie series including Star Trek and X-Men are backtracking to create prequals to example how it all began. Since we have already discussed the Star Trek film that will be released this year, this week’s blog is going to discuss X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This film is going to focus on Wolverine’s story. According to the official website this film is going to explain what happened in Wolverine’s past that turned him into a mutant, it will chronicle his romantic history and it will also explore the Weapons X program. They promise that new and old X-Men characters will also play a role in this storyline and that epic X-Men characters from the graphic novel series will also be making an appearance.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is slated to be released on May 1, 2009. It will be released by 20th Century Fox. It will star Hugh Jackman
(Wolverine), Will.i.am., Lieve Shrieber, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Henney.
