Uncovering Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - Movie Review & Posters
Harry Potter’s latest saga is examined…

The much anticipated 6th installment in the Harry Potter chronicles was released in theaters in July of 2009. It was titled “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.” It was based on the novel written by J.K. Rowling and adapted to screenplay by David Yates. While this film was given mixed reviews by fans it still made a killing at the box office.

Movie number six was based on the uncovering of more information about Lord Voldermort via a mysterious book that Harry finds. This book gives new insights into who Voldermort was and what shaped his terror. Also included in this storyline is a problem associated with the contamination of the headmaster’s memory vials. This leads to the condition known as false memories.

What makes this series of films great is that the same group of actors and actresses have remained with the project since the first film, for the most part. Returning in this film to reprise their roles that we have all fallen in love with include Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Robbie Coltrane and Maggie Smith. The writer of this film was Steve Klover and it was directed by David Yates.

Like the other films, the Half Blood Prince is a long movie. It has a running time of 153 minutes, which is nearly three hours. This is tough for the younger kids to handle in a movie theater, however, the thematic characteristics found in this film make it an inappropriate film for kids under 10. The feel of this film is much darker and more mature than previous films. This is due to the fact that the actors are older and they are coming of age. Be prepared for romance, danger and action!

If you are developing a Harry Potter collection then you will want to enhance your collection with family film posters that feature characters and scenes from this film. The posters are dramatic and very well designed. You are going to love the characters, the settings and the artistic interpretations of this film.
