Planned for August Movie Releases

On August 13 Tropic Thunder is scheduled to be released. It is an action comedy that follows a group of actors who are kidnapped unbeknownst to them while shooting a war movie. In order to survive, they have to figure out how to turn their acting into survival skills. This film stars Ben Stiller, Nick Nolte, Steve Coogan, Matthew McConaughey, Jack Black, Robert Downey, Jr., Brendon Jockson and Tom Cruise. It is rated R for language, violence, sex and drug references.
On August 15 an animated Star Wars movie called Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is scheduled to be released. It is a Warner Brothers release that will utilize familiar and unique characters to expand on the Star Wars storyline.
If you are looking for a good scare then you will want to see Mirrors. This film is also scheduled to be released on August 15 and is rated R for violence, language, disturbing images and brief nudity. The storyline follows a family living in a haunted house are terrorized by phantoms in their mirrors that cause them to do terrible things. This is a 20th Century Fox release.
