August 1, 2008 Weekend
Next week is the first of August already. This means the final group of summer movies will be showing up in theaters. On of the best films that will be released on August 1 is the next installment of the Mummy series. This time Rick will be battling mummies from the Far East. Brendan Fraser will be reprising his role as Rick, however, Rachel Weiz will not be returning for the third film. Instead the roll of Evy will be played by a new actress.
If you enjoy international movie posters then you will not want to miss Brideshead Revisited. This Miramax romantic epic has a running time of about an hour and 50 minutes and is rated R for language, sex and nudity. This film stars Michael Gambon, Matthew Goode, Greta Scacchi and Emma Thompson. The storyline for this film follows the story of a man and his romances during the pre-WWII era in England.
While you won’t see any vintage movie posters next weekend at the movie theaters you will see comedy movie posters. Your third movie option is Swing Vote. This film stars Kevin Costner, Kelsey Grammer and George Lopez. The storyline for this comedy is that a presidential election comes down to a single vote. Sound familiar?
