This weekend is full of slapstick, SNL flavor comedies. The first being released is the sequel to “Harold and Kumar,” and is entitled “Harold and Kumar 2.” This adventure comedy continues the storyline with Harold and Kumar returning from Amsterdam. They are retained by the authorities when a bong is discovered in their possession and they are suspected as terrorists. The chase and action develops as Harold and Kumar escape and try to prove their innocence. Staring in this film are: Kal Penn and John Cho.

The second slapstick comedy is “Baby Mama.” This film stars SNL stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, as well as Dax Shepard and Greg Kinnear. The premise of this film is that a 37 year old woman wants to have a baby but can’t get pregnant so she hires a surrogate. This film is being released by Universal Pictures and is rated PG-13 for sexual humor, crude humor, drug references and language.

The third comedy being released this weekend is “Then She Found Me.” While not slapstick like the other two releases, this film should deliver a few laughs. This film is the directorial debut of Helen Hunt who also stars in this feature presentation. Also starring in this film are Colin Firth, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick. The premise of this film is that a schoolteacher tries to find a new direction for her life after experiencing a series of life shattering events.
