Over the next month three blockbuster family films are slated to be releases, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. These films will herald in the summer movie season with a bang. If you have kids you will want to take them to at least one of these great films.
The first film to be released is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This film is going to be released June 24, 2009 by Dreamworks. It will star Shia Labeouf, Megan Fox, Ramon Rodriguez, John Turturro and Tyrese Gibson. It is rated PG-13 so it will be a good film for teens and adults, but maybe not for younger viewers. Preview first before bringing young kids to this film.
Next up is Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It is scheduled for theatrical release on July 1 by 20th Century Fox. This film will pick up the character story line from the last film. In this film Ellie and Mannie are expecting the birth of their first baby mammoth. While not chronologically accurate this film looks like a cute animated flick that will be good for young kids.
On July 15 the long awaited release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be released by Warner Bros Pictures. It will star the famous threesome from the other films: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. This film is rate PG and will cover the ongoing saga of Harry Potter and Hogswarth. If you have Harry Potter lovers in your home you won’t want to miss this epic film.
